Tysons Corner Center is the largest shopping mall in the Washington, D.C. area and is the fifth largest mall in the United States. Producing more than $860 million in sales in 2006, the super-regional mall continues to meet the growing demand for better entertainment and dining in its densely populated and highly affluent market.
An anchor mix led by Bloomingdale’s and Nordstrom and the presence of more than 300 specialty retailers allows Tysons Corner Center to live up to its reputation of being “Where the Stores Are.” In fall 2005, Tysons introduced a 362,000-square-foot expansion hosting a 16-screen, AMC megaplex with stadium seating, five fine-dining and family-style restaurants, a Food Court, two-level Barnes & Noble, and more than 20 new specialty stores. The wing is adjoined by a new, 1,650-space parking deck with speed ramp to the area’s entertainment level, bringing the property’s total capacity to more than 10,500 parking spaces.
