Over the years, Tysons Corner Center has been an active member of the Northern Virginia community. With our goal of being a good corporate citizen, we have partnered with various organizations and have sponsored several programs to provide valuable community services.
Tysons Trekkers
Tysons Corner Center invites you to join the Tysons Trekkers Mall Walking Club, a free walking program at Tysons Corner Center. The mall provides a comfortable and convenient environment to help you walk your way to fitness and maintain a healthy lifestyle. Participants are encouraged to walk at their own pace and keep a daily log of their mileage. Program hours are Monday through Saturday, 6am - 10am and Sundays, 6am - 11am.
Tysons Trekkers receive a free T-shirt and special discounts from many of the mall's stores and restaurants. Additionally, a registered nurse from Fairfax Hospital provides free blood pressure screening every other Saturday morning.
To obtain a registration form or for more information, call Guest Services at (703) 847-7300. Please consult your physician before participating.
Fairfax County Public Schools Classroom on the Mall
This specialized program enables Fairfax County Public School students in grades 11-12 to learn business organization, as well as operation skills and techniques in a realistic business setting.
Classes are held at Tysons Corner Center and several other area malls. Traditional classroom instruction in marketing, merchandising, and management is enhanced by the opportunity for students to meet and work with professionals in the retail industry. Students attend their base schools for regular classes and then travel to Tysons for both classroom instruction and related on-the-job training.
